The doctoral degree requires at least 90 post-baccalaureate hours, General Examination, and the submission and successful defense of the results of original dissertation research. Students admitted to a doctoral program who find that their educational goals cannot be met by one of the existing doctoral degrees offered should consider applying for an Interdisciplinary Ph. D. program.
