You must obtain a qualifying score on the SPEAK Test before a TEACH Test can be scheduled for you. TEACH Tests begin November 3, 2008. Registration for TEACH Tests will begin in early October. |

Written |
If you need to pass the Written Test to be certified for the Spring 2009 semester, take the test before January 1, 2009. This is to ensure that your department receives timely notice of your appointment eligibility.

For New Students and Students Taking English Certification Tests for the First Time:
If you need to obtain English certification for the Spring 2009 semester and you did not take the TEACH Test for the Fall 2008 semester or take a SPEAK test during the Fall 2008 semester, you should contact the English Assessment Office as soon as possible to determine what tests you may need to complete and to begin the scheduling process.
For Students Who Have Already Taken Some English Certification Tests:
If you have already qualified on the SPEAK Test and plan to take a TEACH test in November, you should receive a schedule from us by October 13th. If you do not receive a schedule, please contact us. Please make sure we have your most recent email and mailing addresses.
