Tuition Waivers - Award Process
  • Once awarded, tuition waiver information is sent to the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Tuition waivers are factored into a student's overall aid package.
  • Financial Aid will disqualify any over-awarded waivers.
  • The Office of the Bursar receives tuition waiver information from Financial Aid.
  • Allowable waivers are posted to the student's bill.
  • The student is responsible for any tuition not covered by the waiver.
  • It may take a few days to a few weeks for the entire process.

Delayed Awards & Student Bills

  • A student's first bill of the semester may not reflect the tuition waiver.
  • A student who has received an award e-mail, should recheck the bill one month after the date of the e-mail.
  • Any late fees associated with the tuition waived will be removed once it is posted.

Change in Enrollment Status

  • Tuition waivers are computed on the number of hours in which a student is enrolled at the time the waiver is awarded.

If a student's enrollment increases or decreases, the student must contact the Graduate College to receive any potential tuition waiver adjustments.
