My tuition waiver award hasn't been credited to my University bill. What should I do?
Be patient. In order for your award to be applied against your first University bill, your nomination must have been received in the Graduate College at least three weeks prior to the start of the term. If you were nominated after this date, it will take about a month for your award to be credited to your account. If your bill is still in error 30 days after you receive your award letter or if you have any other problems, please contact the Graduate College at 325-3811 for assistance.
Are there any other ways to obtain a waiver?
The Graduate College awards only tuition waivers for Qualified Graduate Assistants and Fellowship recipients. The Office of Financial Aid administers all need-based awards. If you are interested in such aid, please call 325-4521.
If you are placed on academic probation, fail to make satisfactory progress toward your degree, or fail to enroll, you may lose your award. Also, if you fail to have a qualifying graduate assistantship appointment, you will lose any waiver dependent on that appointment. If you are a graduate research assistant whose appointment is not renewed through the end of the semester, you will lose your waiver for that semester. Contact the Graduate College if you have any questions.
