Miranda was born and raised in Midland, TX and as soon as time would permit, she fled the desert to the greener side of life in Norman, OK where she studied Art and Graphic Design at OU. In 2005, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Communications from the University of Oklahoma. Soon after graduation she began to work for the Graduate College, where she is now responsible for the development of the overall Graduate College identity.
Miranda is responsible for designing recruiting materials such as brochures, advertisements, publications, etc. As a member of the Web Design Committee, Miranda worked on the design of the new Graduate College website. In addition to graphic design, Miranda is responsible for many administrative duties including, but not limited to processing Robberson Research and Travel Grants, administrative support for the Robberson Travel and Research Grant subcommittee and assisting with special event planning such as the Fellowship Reception, Poster Sessions and Graduation Reception.
When Miranda is not working for the Graduate College, she can usually be found at home in her studio either, drawing or painting while dreaming of the day she becomes a published children’s book author/illustrator.
