  • CDRP – Unit evaluations will be assigned in the first meeting, which will be held in mid-October.   Each representative will lead a discussion on his/her unit.  There will be regularly scheduled meetings throughout the fall and spring semesters.
  • Faculty Senate – No report given
  • Inter-liaison Report – The OUHSC Graduate Council will form an Ad Hoc committee to determine whether or not it is feasible for all graduate students to be required to take a course in Responsible Conduct in Research.

Discussion Items

  • Dean Williams led a discussion on the Graduate Enrollment Management Plan. The plan calls for creating a framework between departments and the Graduate College to manage enrollment of nationally competitive graduate students, provide those students with the highest quality graduate experience, graduate them in the most timely fashion, and assist them in finding positions relevant to their career goals.  There was a brief discussion on the possibility of implementing e-portfolios into the enrollment management plan.
  • There was discussion on creating a position for an Associate Dean or a Faculty Fellow in the Graduate College.  The majority of the Council members felt it would be more appropriate to have an Associate Dean who would work on special projects.
