General information for prospective international students.

If your native language is not English, and if you expect to hold any instructional position at the University, you'll want to know about our program. The English Assessment Program administers language proficiency tests leading to Certification of Proficiency in English.

International Student Services
International Student Services manage nonimmigrant visa status for almost 1300 international students from 100 countries who pursue studies at all levels, providing updated immigration and travel information on a regular basis and immigration advising on a scheduled and drop-in basis.

International Teaching Assistant (ITA) Training
All graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) must
attend one or both of the teaching assistant training
programs offered by the Program for Instructional Innovation prior
to commencing their teaching
responsibilities. However, GTAs who do not have substantive contact
with students (e.g., those who only
do grading) are exempt from this requirement.
